With Intel’s earnings report due tomorrow, it seems the company is interested in getting as much news as possible out of the door. Today, there is the announcement of a multi-core chip prototype capable of producing 2 teraflops of performance, a “Core 2 Duo on Steroids” that overclocks itself, and the announcement of the winners of Intel’s Million-Dollar PC Design Challenge. The winners, by the way, don’t look that revolutionary to me.

Now what does that mean for the INTC earnings report tomorrow? No idea, but I don’t expect any breakthrough numbers myself.
