While the
exotic, one-of-a-kind cars attract most of the attention, electric and hybrid vehicles are making a splash at the 77th International Motor-Show in Geneva, Switzerland. What is most important about these cars is that you might actually drive one. New emissions standards required in Europe have provided the impetus for carmakers to develop new environmentally friendly vehicles. The show officially opens on March 8 and will close its doors on March 18.
Toyota unveiled the Hybrid X for the first time in Geneva. The model features room for four in a new design that Toyota hopes will attract interest as a family car. It says the car's electric-gas Hybrid Synergy Drive is a step closer to the company's goal of a zero-emission vehicle.
